The Broadway Musical The Outsiders, National Tour premiered in early November, 2025. This show was absolutely spectacular! The different set designs and the music was extremely well written. The music throughout the show was in all different styles within the musical theater writing style. Some songs were more of a ballad and some were more motivational and action packed.

One memorable moment was when the actor playing Ponyboy did a stunt that was absolutely astounding. When his older brother had hit him, the actor had spun his upper body around to break the fourth wall. He said one line and then on one foot was able to fully jump backwards to act like he had been hit. It was a very copulating moment and was unbelievable how that actor managed to jump backwards while his upper body was turned towards the audience.

The set was absolutely stunning! In Act 2, the entire building was engulfed in flames. The projector was able to give the illusion that the fire was bigger than what it was projecting. It was a great use of thinking outside the box with giving the audience a clear view of just how big the fire was spreading to the entire building. They also had multiple different cars on stage or off stage and were able to bring them out fully without actually driving the car. It was also a great use of using different resources to fully engage the audience.

Overall, I really enjoyed watching this musical! I think it fully represented the book to its fullest potential! I liked the amount of thought and precision in making the musical as culturally and historically accurate as possible! I would definitely recommend anyone to see this musical!

Classical musical. It really is a good one! I like the twist they put on it though!
