Alpha Psi Omega

My first year of college, I had a friend recommended joining a theater honor society called Alpha Psi Omega. I decided to go to their interest meeting and was interested in joining. I am so glad that I took the initiative to join. I met so many amazing people that I can now call my close friends! We as an organization did so many fun things like different activities, fundraisers, and even went on a field trip to the Renaissance Fair in our area!

During the initiation process, we also did a mentorship program called Bigs and Littles! We were given different tasks to do by our big and I was also assigned a twin who had the same big as me! Together, we performed different tasks such as singing a favorite song or making an artistic representation of our favorite musical! In Mid-October, we had something called “The Week”. The Week was when all of us met up together at night and did fun theater activities and games to grow a closer bond together. At the end of the week, we were revealed who our big was! My twin and I turned out to be the Treasurer of Alpha Psi Omega! We all became close friends and still hang out together.

After I saw my big having so much fun on the officer team and seeing what the officers in APO does, I decided that I wanted to be a part of that team too! I worked very hard in showing people who I was and what different leadership skills I can bring to the table. I made sure to help out any time I could and to make my presence known to everyone around me. I ended up getting elected as the Secretary of Alpha Psi Omega! I am so excited to start the 2025-26 school year as an officer of Alpha Psi Omega!
